PRADOLLANO - LA CALDERA - MULHACÉN - CAPILEIRA.
This walking trekin Spain is within the reach of most and will take you to the highest peak on the Iberian Peninsular, setting out from the Sierra Nevada ski and mountain resort. These educational hikes are the best way to combine nature, out-door activity and culture. They are short excursions during which your guide will discuss and explain everything that nature has to offer along the way: from the region’s flora, fauna, geology and landscapes, to the habits and customs of its mountain peoples through the ages.
Route: FIRST DAY Pradollano - Ski lifts, reaching 3000 metres - Collado de la Carihuela - Laguna de Aguas Verdes - Crestones de Río Seco - Loma Pelá - La Caldera Lake - La Caldera Mountain Shelter. SECOND DAY La Caldera - Collado del Mulhacén - Mulhacén - Loma del Mulhacén - Alto del Chorrillo - Molina Pass - Hoya del Portillo - Capileira.
