Bedroom 1 Castano del Robledo village

The highest house in the highest village in the heart of the beautiful Sierra de Aracena Natural Park. Great walks begin from the cottage door, yet it is only a minute to the two tapas bars in the square and just over an hour from Seville. The cottage has many period features, such as exposed chestnut beams and an open fireplace, and the patio looks out onto a meadow full of apple trees, wild flowers and a friendly donkey. Castano del Robledo is part of the unspoiled 'real Spain', away from the touristy 'Costas'. It is for those who wish to spend time walking or horseriding, exploring pretty whitewashed villages and enjoying lazy afternoons in a village square with a cold beer or bottle of wine. It is, though, also an ideal base for a day trip to Seville, into Portugal, or to the wild and deserted beaches of the Costa de la Luz.
