Situated in the very pretty old Moorish town of Salobrena this apartment has just been renovated to a very high standard by the owners. It is 5 mins walk to the beach and the town/restaurants. Sleeps 4. There is parking outside and a little shop at the end of the street sells everything - and the baker delivers fresh bread every morning !! The elevated swimming pool has amazing views of the sea and the surrounding green fields and mountains. New for rentals in 2004 - recommendations available.

KitchenOak fitted kitchen with all stainless steel appliances. Large American style breakfast bar with leather stools, integral fridge and freezer, gas hob, oven, 2 microwaves, washing machine. Picnic hamper and all crockery, glasses, cutlery and saucepans provided. Bi-folding doors open onto balcony with sea views.
Living roomsHuge leather corner sofa with cushions, coffee table and storage chest. Soft 'mood' lighting and ceiling fan. Flat screen TV, DVD player, CD and radio. Selection of books and games/playing cards.
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid serviceBath towels, tea towels and hangers are provided. Guests are requested to bring their own beach towels.

English speaking lady will meet and greet guests and is available throughout your stay should you need any help/advice etc.

Outside
Easy parking outside. Elevated swimming pool (June-Sept) with panoramic views to the sea, green fieelds and mountains - very private, key access only and shared by only a few residents. Little shop 20 paces away which sells fresh fruit/veg/beer/wine/bread/frozen food and toiletries etc.
Coast/Beach
Salobrena beaches 5 minute walk from the apartment, with beach bars, restaurants and loungers/umbrellas for hire. Almunecar beach 15 minute drive. Motril beach 10 minute drive. Lots of little coves along the coast road around Salobrena.
Travel
Malaga airport - 1 hour drive Almeria airport - 1.5 hour drive A car is recommended but not essential.
Distances
The beautiful renaissance city of Granada is 45 minute drive and the pretty mountain villages of the Alpujarras are a 20 minute drive. Almeria and Malaga are 1 hour drive.
Further details
Salobrena, built on a small rocky outcrop is topped by an Arab castle and is very pretty and uncommercialised, although it does have many good bars, restaurants and shops - there is also a large hypermarket 3kms away. It is ideal for those seeking a peaceful, relaxing holiday away from the crowds. Rich in tradition and history there are many 'fiestas' held throughout the year and dishes of 'tapas' are still served with your drinks !! Salobrena has a sub-tropical climate with over 300 days of sunshine every year, making it an ideal year round holiday destination.
